Cobalt Blue Betty Teapot

Cobalt Blue Betty Teapot

$35.98

This little teapot has quite a history! Its origins date back to the end of the 17th Century and the birth of the British Ceramic Teapot. Ever since then, English tea drinkers have claimed that a teapot with a "Brown Betty" shape makes the best tea, thanks to the way it lets tea leaves swirl around while steeping. Handmade in Stoke-on-Trent (home of the Brown Betty since the 1600s). 48-oz. pot brews six cups. Hand wash and air dry.

The teapot is not for use in a microwave or on a stovetop.

Blue Betty Tea Pot
I received my tea pot a few weeks ago and I use it every morning. I'm a tea drinker and never have coffee. I am very happy with my new pot and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new one.

Wonderful teapot!
This is a lovely colour -- I've used the "brown betty" style teapot most of my life, but it's increasingly hard to get good quality ones. While this one isn't brown, it seems like the quality I was hoping for, and I expect to use it for many years!

Love that Blue
This is my second of these teapots - my first one is the classic Brown Betty. Love the shape & colour. My brown one never dripped but this one does a little. But the shape of it steeps a great cuppa (the high dome seems to make the difference). Makes a gorgeous gift too.

Beautiful!
This is a high-quality, UK-made, red-clay brown betty at a great price. But it's also my favorite teapot, and I've had a decent lot. I just think it's beautiful, and I always get comments on it.

A great pot of tea.
I received my "Brown Betty" a couple of weeks ago, and now I am part of a proud British tradition. It makes a fantastic pot of tea: full-flavored but not bitter. It will be wonderful this winter to enjoy a cup of delicious tea in the afternoon.
