I can only agree with the critics, "Season 9 should go down in history as one of the best story arcs in Doctor Who's lexicon of story arcs", this is my own amalgamation taken bits and pieces from several Doctor Who critiquing sites to better state my own critique. I've been watching Doctor Who since the first Doctor Who appeared in 1963, when I was 7 years old. I can say this in my personal critique: "The freshness of the 1963 Beginning Storylines, when the 1st Doctor Who appeared, portrayed by the great actor William Hartnell, who is the standard for judging all Doctors by me; I can say that the 10th, 11th and 12th Doctors have the same freshness about them as in the beginning.
Of course now it is a new beginning of a great show for the 21st Century. A much needed reboot for the new generation, of which my grandchildren are a part of.
They come running when I tell them that a Doctor Who show is on, or that I have gotten hold of a DVD/Blu-Ray disk of shows past or present. They actually stop doing whatever they are doing, including playing games on XBOX 360 or One, too watch the show with me. As a sort of minor historian on all of the Doctors, they know that I can answer questions they may have about the 53 year old series.
