Trial of a Time Lord is actually four separate episodes. It was the most watched series in the original series. Sil, from Vengence on Varos, makes a return appearance. Seeing him again makes the entire show. I'm glad I bought it. Spoiler: good bye Peri, hello Mel.

Colin Baker's Shines Throughout His Final Season as The Doctor
I'm unashamed to say that Colin Baker is one of my very favorite Doctors. While the quality of his stories in his first season ranged from average to mediocre, Colin always shined and delivered an outstanding performance. The extras on this set are outstanding and amazingly thorough. Highly recommended for Doctor Who fans of all ages.

The Controversial Season
Colin Baker has got a bad rap for his tenure as the sixth Doctor, mainly IMHO down to some very poor character writing when he was initially introduced. The Trial of a Time Lord season did much to rectify that for me. The switching between stories and the courtroom doesn’t bother me as it does some fans, and the Valeyard was an excellent foil for the Doctor, and has his own dark and complex background (no spoilers here!). Not perfect, but not to be missed either.

The Trial of a Time Lord review
The Mysterious Planet, Mindwarp and Terror of the Vervoids were very very good.
