Good Mystery
After reading the one "Do Not Recommend" review I felt I had to comment. While Father Brown's secretary is a little extreme I think that one element falls far short of ruining the series. They are still very good mysteries and even she has her moments.

Father Brown Season Two
It is refreshing to watch a detective story without graphic blood and torture scenes. Mark Williams is so genuine in the character of Father Brown, it makes me laugh to see him crossing his fingers behind his back or hiding something while he appears so innocent. And of course there is Flambeau! I'm in love with them both:) All of the actors and actresses are excellent in their parts. The stories are simple, yet well done. I am reading the Complete Father Brown stories and although the DVD differs somewhat in the characters, they are both very enjoyable. G.K. Chesterton - what an exquisite mind!!
