Penguins: Spy in the Huddle. You’ve seen penguins, but never like this! Using the Penguincams (super-realistic animatronic cameras disguised as penguins, chicks and eggs) Spy in the Huddle gives the inside track on all the drama and challenges these 'tuxedoed' birds face throughout the year, with no shortage of laughs along the way. From the freezing Antarctic, the domain of the regal emperor penguin to the blushing Humboldt of South America’s sizzling deserts, to the tiny Rockhopper of the Falkland Islands, the Penguincam allows a closer view of these creatures than ever before. Immersed in the very center of the penguin world, viewers are treated to a privileged view of the life of this enigmatic bird.

Having seen several species of penguins up close (the Falkland Islands are by far the best place to view them in large numbers and still accessible by commercial transportation), we were thrilled to see their life documented by means of ingenious robotic and concealed cameras, such as "egg camera", "rock camera", "emperor camera", "chick camera", "rock-hopper camera", "Humboldt camera", etc., etc.

This DVD was true in every way to the title
Life & beginning of life, it was beautiful to watch, the tenderness between the penguins as parents caring for their little ones! To see a tiny penguin lost & hunting for its parents, makes one see their life.

Penguins plus David Tennant!
Penguins are my very favorite animal, so I may come across a bit biased. Also, David Tennant, aka the tenth Doctor of Dr. Who, narrates (he's my favorite Doctor). This documentary features cameras disguised as penguins, eggs, and even rocks. The cameras are high tech; they move, swivel, swim, dive, and the rock hopper cam can make itself stand up when it falls over! I don't why but they crack me up. They have a little, puffy emperor baby camera too! I squee a lot when I watch this show. I'm amazed they could fit so much cuteness on one DVD. The music is whimsical and charming. They really captured some amazing and intimate moments. I love this show! Also, they put glitter on the case that doesn't come off on your hands. I'm fairly certain wizardry was involved.
