You never know when an online forensics course might lead to danger and romance. Inspired by her studies at the Scottish Institute of Forensic Science and Anatomy, Emma Hedges decides to investigate her mum’s old, unsolved murder case in Dundee, with help from two women professors. Their parttime sleuthing heats up after police find three dead bodies in the ruins of a nightclub fire—two victims of the fire, and one who has been dead for a very long time.
