For this private detective, trouble is a way of life.

For Jake Doyle, dodging bullets is a lot less dangerous than his personal life. Jake (Allan Hawco, Love & Savagery) and his ex- cop father, Malachy (Sean McGinley, Single- Handed), run a Newfoundland detective agency. Their rugged seaside town never lacks for intriguing cases, from cheating spouses to robberies, arson, and even murder. Father and son have completely different ways of handling things, and that turns up the heat on their suspects not to mention their tight-knit family. But the real fireworks stem from Jake's roguish ways. Whether its an ex-wife (Rachel Wilson, Total Drama) he can't shake or the hot new cop (Krystin Pellerin, The Tudors) he works with, Jake Doyle just can't stop breaking the rules. Guest stars in this award-winning dramedy include Victor Garber (Argo), Nicholas Campbell (Da Vinci's Inquest), Ian Tracey (Intelligence), and Gordon Pinsent (Away from Her).

"Smart and fun" Toronto Star (Canada)

Republic of Dolt
Doyle's cute but I would be very annoyed if my grown son was so emotionally stunted.

I love the scenery & it is an upbeat 40 minutes every episode. Ditch the ex wife character.
