Can't wait
I, for one am excited to a female Doctor. I know I haven't seen it yet, but truly the only thing I fear of the upcoming Jodie Whittaker season is the new show runner. I truly am excited to see how in this universe, Time Lords(Ladies?) have regenerated into a new sex in front of us, and how The Doctor has actually admitted he was a women once. this should have been a surprise, much less generate and outburst. I loved David Bradley as the William Hartnell, and excited to see him once more. getting this dvd will be awesome for me and I can't wait for the best Christmas present I will receive this year. This is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!

Tit for tat
Well, it's not out yet, but I think it'll be fantastic! 12 and 1 go on a romp in WWI, ending with the reveal of the 13th Doctor herself!

What's that? I shouldn't say that before seeing it? Well, what about the guy who gave it one star before seeing it because he doesn't like the new Doctor?

I'm On Board. Now, and Forever.
To help balance the scales to remedy the damage done by one fragile snowflake's opinion on a product that he hasn't even seen yet, two can play at that game.

I thought that this special was one of the best that the show has done since The End of Time. Peter Capaldi has truly cemented himself in my heart (of which I have only one sadly) as the best portrayal of The Doctor I have ever seen. As time went on, his handle on the character only grew firmer and firmer. And the way he faced his end did not leave a sour taste in my mouth like David Tennant's did.

And David Bradley was great as well. Unfortunately, I was always comparing his portrayal with William Hartnell's so I couldn't fully accept him as The Doctor, but he came pretty damn close. I absolutely believed him as William Hartnell in the docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time, and he did a pretty serviceable job here. I'd give him an 80%.

My least favourite part of the special was Mark Gatiss's character. I felt like the role could have gone to someone better and felt like he just self-inserted himself in a historic episode.

And historic it is. As of the end of this episode, The Doctor is now a woman. And I have no idea what we're in for. However, I have spent the past 8 years of my life on this show, close to if not over $3,000 on this show not counting the Complete Tenth Series set and this special. This show helped keep me from killing myself during the worst year of my life and has given me my happiest moment of my life. I'm staying on board the TARDIS even though The Doctor is now a woman because if I get off this ship, amazing things will be happening and I will not be able to bear witness to them. And plus, I can't justify a $3,000 loss over a simple thing as The Doctor becoming a woman.

I've accepted all the previous actors as The Doctor, I've accepted Michelle Gomez as The Master, I can accept Jodie Whittaker as The Doctor as well. Doctor, if you'll continue to have me, I'm more than willing to stay. What universal wonders will you show me next?

No!!!!
I have to agree . the first doctor is my favorite and I was so looking toward to the Christmas special until I learned that iam no longer needed as a fan. Yes iam an older fan from way back who supported the show even when it was no longer in production. Buying books magazines audio adventures... Now I have stopped. The casting of the 13th doctor shows they no longer care about we older fans or our support or money! If I watch this last farewell to the doctor that's a big if I will not watch the ending. But knowing this they probably will show the regeneration first just to ram it down our throats his much they don't care about us!

Keep your mind open
Actually, I'm just writing this review out of a sense of outrage that the previous reviewer has decided to "review" something he/she hasn't seen, and worse yet, to hijack our beloved "Doctor Who" to make attacks on political correctness (only exists in the minds of the far right) and Social Justice Warriors.

The Doctor is the original SJW. If you don't like that fact, don't watch.

Amazing
Of course I haven't seen it either, I just want to counter-balance that other person's 1 star review who hasn't seen it either.

Can't wait for Moffat and Capaldi's last hurrah! Especially with the likes of David Bradley as the First Doctor, and of course the regeneration to Jodie Whittaker's Doctor. Moffat has shown he is capable of amazing episodes, and I'm sure this will be no less.
